This is an old post that I took something out of. That's why it's right here.
Well this will be a simple little blog post, but I hope it will shed some light as to why I love the game of Minecraft for anyone who reads this that doesn't hold the game in high regard like I do.This game is very amazing, and for more reasons than you might think. This game is a way to let your creativity flow, and let me tell you, there are some people out there who have let that creativity show. Like the first person to build a computer or an ALU in Minecraft just by using redstone, or the people who recreate/create whole structures like various castles, famous landmarks, etc.
However, this game is being bashed by saying there is no point to the game, it's so boring. True there is no point to the game, but that makes it the essence of a sandbox game.
You could almost call Minecraft unique because it has added a couple of bosses that you can fight and conquer. This would be true if Terraria had not done more of that then Minecraft. However Terraria is different on the fact that it's 2D. That makes it difficult to build structures in all their glory the way you can in Minecraft.
The biggest reason I love Minecraft as much as I do is because the community behind the game is amazing. By that I mean the sheer amount of custom maps and mods that people have created its staggering. Also it shows that playing with friends is a whole lot more fun than playing alone.
